The rear is shortened, and the front lengthened. I had 2 shafts that I had rebuilt and one was so bad it ended up as a new one. Total cost was $600 for both shafts. The ZF adapter is a good choice. Check my build thread. You will not be disappointed with Kevin or the Optishift. Excellent product AND service.

Tomorrow is the final day of the buy. Thanks to those who have made the purchase. I wish it could have been more but I am thankful for the savings we will get.

Good luck with your builds and keep em between the ditches and rubber side down.

I think we ended up at $535 a pop. Not exactly what I had in mind but nonetheless, it's a discount. Unfortunately, when you start of with a handful of folks and so many back out, things change.

WCB told me today they are fabbing up a crossmember for us to take a closer look at online. More to come.

Just found this thread...I need an Optishift for my upcoming 4l80e transplant. Is this a group buy for that and is it still open? Count me in if so; I'll call tomorrow and give 'em my card if that's the case.

Just a thought, when you get your Optishift, you'll notice that the LED readout is on the controller that has 20 or more wires sticking out of 3 different sides of it. Hard to mount it so it looks decent with all those flipping wires coming out of all sides...you can talk to the guys at Baumann and ask them (like many others have) if they are still working on a separate LED readout so you can tell what gear you are in or temperature or whatever... without having to bolt their current ECU to the dash with 2-3 dozen wires sticking out of it...

Just a thought, it'd sure be nice to make a cleaner mount for the readout...
