BC Broncos EFI CABLE CORRECT CONNECTION

Ok bronco friends , I am down to just 3 things left to finish my build

I’m struggling on the correct installation of the BC Broncos EFI Throttle cable ,
Does it appear I have this mounted correctly? Is the pivot connector at the throttle body connected to the correct pivot point ? Does the connector at the pedal look correct !

Is there supposed to be a spring at the pedal or the throttle body that I’m missing ? I don’t want to cut more cable off until I know I have it installed correctly as you can see from the video & pics there’s no tension Even when stepping on the pedal there’s very little movement

I called their tech line & they stated how to adjust it but I’m wondering if I’m missing a step on the install as their instructions are vague at best

Any help is appreciated

Is the throttle body end of the cable adjustable for length? It looks like the cable is easily at least an inch too long as installed. I also would not cut any cable until you know you have it all working like you want it.

It doesn't look right to me at the throttle body. I don't know if you're using explorer or a mustang throttle body.

Here's mine on a Mustang TB.

The cable should go straight to the mount point, not bend around some pulley that it looks like you've added.

I would move the "ball joint" to the other side, in the hole next to the bolt with the pulley. You will need to shorten up the cable to make sure you have full throttle with the pedal down.

I would also mount the adjuster in the hole further out on the bracket, so the cable goes straight to the ball joint.

As stated, I wouldn't cut the cable until you have it all adjusted.

I have added extra springs on the return also. That one was maybe enough to return to idle. It was not enough to keep my foot from getting super tired driving longer distances.

You'll need the pedal side close as possible to the firewall.

Here's maybe a better picture. You don't have cruise or the transmission kick-down cable, so just worry about the throttle (the one with the same spring on it)

Yes, the pulley thing is throwing me off. Did BCB do some type of "update" to their EFI cable kit?

If you do a search for throttle cables and assuming BC cable as well, one of the members added a pulley to help in throttle control. Perhaps BC did as well because I have an old kit still in the box and I don't believe it has a pulley either.

I would just call Jason at BCB and ask him.

I received a BC EFI cable less than two weeks ago, and it did not include the small pulley shown in the Viperwolf mod. My guess is the OP added it based on advice from other threads. I haven’t started my install yet, but I plan to run the BC cable as it comes and see how the pedal feels. I’m not sure why the pulley would be needed. I asked Jason about it when ordering, and he said he wasn’t aware of any issues with their cable and hadn’t received feedback saying otherwise.

Some people have had issues with easing into the throttle.
I know the stock mustang cable worked OK when in 2 wheel drive but put it into 4 low and it was like a light switch when coming to an obstacle offroad, there just was no way to ease into the throttle.
The pulley helped to make the throttle response more progressive and less off and on.
