Bellhouse bolts

Lost my bolts to bellhousing. Anybody know the sizes and locations (if different sizes) of the bolts i need? do i need lock washers for these bolts?

my chilton manual only shows that i need 6 at 50 ft lbs but doesnt tell me the size of the six.

I just pulled my tranny and they took a 5/8" wrench I believe. Not sure what size that makes them.

bolts

the bellhousing bolts are 7/16 by 2 inch or 2 1/4 .


need the depth of the trans flange plus 1 inch.....?????

7/16 for sure!

transmission flange?

im talking about the bolts from bell housing to engine block. I believe there are 6 of them, but not sure of size or length.

Michael means the bellhousing flange but he is correct on the size, 7/16" coarse thread and about 2" long.

Bell housing bolts

They are 7/16 x 14 and I believe length is 2 1/2". I looked them up on net to use on my Mustang HO on engine stand. I did not count how many are needed. shaun1300
