Slight hijack, can the NiCo line be used as fuel line? I am carbed right now but might go sniper EFI in a couple years, and need to replace my stock fuel line in my 66.
And will a standard flare tool like in the attached picture (just for reference I don't have a flaring tool yet) work on the NiCo line? Thanks.
Yes, you can run the NiCopp line for fuel, noting that I've only seen it available in 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" diameters. If you're building some fuel guzzling, 1600 HP, twin-turbo engine, then you're going to need a larger fuel line. If you're sticking with something sub-600 HP, then 3/8" should be plenty.
Once my axle swap is finished, I'm planning on redoing my fuel lines with NiCopp. The typical old-school anvil type flaring tools should work fine on NiCopp tubing, but I've always used my rotary-die and Mastercool units.
