Just trying to figure the best way to upgrade my front brakes

any body know the difference between these two conversions besides a hundred dollar bill?
how many have tried this?

How much did it cost you to buy and to round up all the parts and in time running around.
I've had a hard time rounding up the donor trucks needed to pull this off.
I'm quite certain there are a few other conversions out there. I'm just looking for the best and most economical conversion.
So, in your opinion, what is the best front disk conversion?

i think if you are considering increasing the axle u-joint size of a big bronco you will have to use big ford disc brake parts, the chevy wont let the bigger size u-joint pass thru the knuckle, its half again bigger than the stock joint, so you must find big axles also, on the short side you cut about 1/2 inch off and on the long side you can cut it to length but it must be sent out and resplined. it would be best to find a complete axle for all the parts. if you have a 3 inch lift now would also be a good time to do a tro.

it also depends what front axle you have. the kit on ebay looks like the one i am going with. the ebay kit will work with dana 30 or 44 so if you decide later to upgrade from 30 to 44 it will transfer over. that is a plus in my book. some kits are just axle specific.

I've done both. I rounded up the parts at JY's for my trail rig and I've installed the WH kit for my brother-in-law. If you want to take the time and effort to collect the parts you might save a bit of money. I ended up getting one bent spindle and having to return it - so if you count gas and time running around I probably did not save that much money.

The kits are nice in that you're sure to get the right parts, many of the parts are new, and it comes with instructions! Most of the vendor kits are comparable. Look how complete they are. Does it come with a proportioning valve? You may not need it so why pay for it until you know?

If you have the 44 axle , doing a knuckle out swap from a full size is an option also. I've seen full widths for $75 to $100 sometimes in the local bargain finder.
I've not done one , so someone else will have to let you know what else is involved.
