Whatever is easiest to run, really. I'm open to options. Had planned on going to the exhaust guy and letting him do his thing.

Single would be fine.

Was planning on throwing a Flowmaster 40 2 into 1 on it..

If you do go two into one check out BC's. I've heard folks say it is loud unless you finish running it out the back.
But really a good exhaust shop can do some pretty amazing stuff with a tube bender.
I can't remember who but one of the fellers on here has a "Chip Foose worthy" dual exhaust with flex pipes, X pipes, and tucked up beautifully out of site. It can be done. Apparently it takes awhile with the tight confines of our eb underbody area.
So a good and patient exhaust shop would be needed but the results were jaw dropping.
If we keep this thread alive long enough he'll chime in.
Photos of his exhaust set up are really cool to look at....at least to me.

If your going to wheel your Bronco, then a turn down tailpipe should be avoided because of the dust it creates, as TN1776 has mentioned. Exiting in front of the rear tire, behind the rear tire, out back, I've smashed them all. I run it through the rear quarter panel now. I still hit it sometimes but the tip is easily replaced. I wasn't surprised that it would still get hit there, the rear quarters take a lot of abuse, especially on the wife's side of the Bronco.

That's a great idea. I've always liked the looks of exhaust coming through the body like that. Whether it be a race car of a show truck. When done correctly, it's just bitchin. Usually I see it in front of the rear tire, but in the rear corner looks cool.

+1 to you sir.

Nice! Do you have any problems with the exhaust heating up the paint where the tip comes out?

It used to get a bit of soot on the paint when It was carbed, but that always wiped off. Never damaged the paint. Now that It's EFI, it runs a lot cleaner. My paint isn't that great, in that area to begin with.

With my 1" bodylift I ran mine over the frame and the rocker has been replaced with a tube slider that the exhaust exits through. If I damage it there, I probably have bigger things to worry about, like a driveshaft.

How does this setup sound coming out right behind the passenger/Driver?

When I had duals I would leave OCBR almost every year with at least one smashed exhaust. I recently changed to a 2 in and 1 out setup and stopped the tailpipe between the rear tank and leaf spring. So far it's holding up.

It's nice and mellow, has a good low rumble from the Thrush Muff.

Jim W.

Which Thrush? I'm looking for good sound without being obnoxiously loud..

I love the square tip. That's sweet.

This is a single exit and not dual with the same set up on the other side, right?
