The Heep is sold, or I think it is, and I will pick up my EB as soon as its gone. I know it will need $1500 to $2000 in stuff to get it daily driver ready. Is there one best sponser above to deal with? I have lurked and looked for about 6 weeks and the prices seem to be about the same except for specials. Who do you like to deal with and who is the most helpfull and easy to deal with? I will need a wide variety of things, from gas tank to carpet. I have a good shop and lots of people who work for me who can do almost anything so there will be lots of quality help on my end. I just would like to find one or two good dealers and stick with them. I think they should also be a sponser of this board. Thanks
Steve

I had great service from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard and Duffs. Where do you live. I would take shipping into consideration. That can be a deciding factor on some things.

I live just oputside of Memphis Tn., the shipping capital of the world. Any FedEx or UPS comes thru here so shipping here would be as cheap as anywhere. By the way, its a 69 with a 170ci if it matters with almost no rust.

for the basic stuff just go with napa or advanced auto. its amazing how many parts you can still get for these 35 year old beasts. the bronco specific places all are good for the stuff you cant get locally.

What is your location? I like WH,BC, and Cage but I have used most of the others also. Shipping costs is why I asked about your location. All of the vedors has their particular niche as far as online verses phone orders for example. Some have better communication with you, like when they send your order or part of an order they let you know what they still need to send you instead of just a box with stuff in it and no info.

Gonna have to agree with Flash here, were you live is a part of it - just for the convenience factor. I think you will probably get alot of varying opinions on whom to deal with. Everyone has good and bad experiences at times. I do like to hear you want to stick to 1 or 2 vendors, I have always found it best that way. Sure people can probably nickel and dime vendors trying to get the best prices, but when they do that I liken it to jumping over dollars trying to save dimes. I have no problem paying a premium on some products if I know the vendor will go out of there way when something goes wrong or I am looking for something special.

Anyways - I am sure any of the vendors listed at the top in the ad's section would do you right.

EDIT - DAMN I type way to slow. Only Flash's response when I hit the reply button, by the time I submit I am 8 posts down.

Yep, Location helps because you can save on shipping cost.

BC Broncos, Alot of people rave about Chuck's customer service, my PO bought alot of stuff through them. I will be soon too!

JBG, people complain about their customer service, shipping practices, and delivery. But I have not had a single problem. Even on a return item that I ordered in error.

Duff's, I bought a few things. Their website needs alot of help, but I hear they are working on it.

Tom's, I have not bought anything from them. They seem to have a good colection of parts.

West Coast Broncos, small inventory. But their customer service was great!

Wild Horses, I have not bought anything from them.

Any sponser of this site, I would give them a try. Make your mind up yourself. Some people have good and bad days!

Some sponser have specialties.
Crab has Cages and Frame Tie-ins and is planning on expaneding.

Good Luck!

;D

Have had great experiences and poor experiences from all of them...

What it boils down to is who has what you need, and who has it for the best price in the time-frame available to you...

%) that aside... I'd say the 2 top suppliers are going to be BC & JBG... JBG has anything and everything you can think you may need for a bronco... u can prolly buy 1 piece by piece from them...

BC has great service and some pretty cool products that only they make/sell. ALSO, Chuck is a member of the pannel or group what ever here and will reply to your questions etc... BUT, even he is not perfect, so make sure any expectations are clear to both parties... who ever ya go with!!

but I digress...

Some of the decision on where to buy parts will depend on what part you are getting. For example most of the venders carry NWMP 23 gallon gas tanks which work okay however only BC Bronco's carries their 24 gallon tank that tucks up into the frame and takes advantage of any body lift you have. (if you later add one it can then be adjusted just by sliding it up further) Other parts are similar such as the Gorilla War Flares which only Wild Horses carries. (Duff's also has a similar product on the way though) I actually get most of the common parts (tail light lenses etc.) through JBG as their prices are normally the best. As to customer support almost all of the vendors have had complaints posted here at one time or another. I've done business with almost all of them though and have never had any complaints myself.

I also agree with what has been said. I've bought most of my stuff from Jeff's, they have almost everything you need to build a bronco without having one to start from. Tom's and James Duff are also good! Just comparison shop before you commit to buying anything o rask here.

For YOU , auto krafters is close and they carry restoration type stuff. Dennis Carpenter is also close to you but NOT a sponsor. If you want GOODIES like lift kit, gas tanks, fiberglass you will want to look at one of out other sponsors. They are all great vendors out west but shipping is quite a bit at times.

Ya. Pretty much everyone is good. BC Broncos has been my favorite so far. But I've gotten things from James Duff, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, and Tom's Bronco Parts. The only small problem was with James Duff and it was all sorted out and I was pleased with the outcome. So I'd say go with what's closest, or whoever has the best price and you'll probably come out of it happy.

I've personally used JBG, BC, Tom's, Cage........ Not one of them will have everything that you would like to have. My favorites list in the bronco folder seems to be growing exponentially. I ordered from Jeff's last Thursday. The guy that took my order went into the warehouse and saved the last item for me. Called Chuck a couple mintutes later and he told me exactly what I needed to get PS up and running on my 170 ci. Both orders got here yesterday.

I have ordered A LOT of stuff from WH and JBG. Generally I find JBG has the best prices. Example, I ordered new taillight lenses today. I called WH and they were $15.95, called JBG and they were $10. Pretty significant percentage difference. I ordered a new Flaming river steering column from WH because they were the only one that carried it. I have never had any problems returning stuff to any of the vendors. I bought some things from BC recently and they were very good to work with. They had some unique parts such as a EFI throttle cable and bracket. They can get parts from other vendors. I have ordered stuff from them and some of the items they got from WH and gave me the same price that I would have paid from WH directly. I like to try and patronize BC because Chuck seems to be generous with advice on the forum which counts for something with me.

I would be curious to know whether if there is a quality difference between any of the vendors' parts or does it all come from the same place. For example, are the lenses I am buying from JBG the same ones that WH sells for 50% more? Or are the body parts all the same? etc.

gee that's funny the canadians like BCBroncos So does this one.
A big vote for Chuck and crew.

In all fairness, I have also dealt with Duffs and Toms. Toms I liked the way they did things and handled my customer complaint. Duffs well, one guy said they needed work, I agree with him, have not had a pleasant experience with them.
