Best place to mount an ARB compressor?

I did not use the arb compressor mostly because it really won't do anything else like airing up. But I used a viair 450 and found a place behind the passenger seat on the quarter panel behind roll cage leg. noise is of little consern as it will only run a matter of a second or 2 when you turn on a locker, so in cab is ok. I run a storage tank my pump only runs maybe once a day.

I am starting to think about this as well. I don't know how big the units are. I will not be running an aux fuel tank. Is there enough room to mount it there?

I did not know it was not good for aring up the tires! For what it cost it should be! Maybe I'll return it. Any suggestions on hooking up a different compressor?

"Good" is a relative term.
It will work but it is slow.
Oops "slow" is relative as well.....:-[

To really compare compressors (when it comes to filling tires or running air tools) cfm@psi numbers are needed.

Just as an example, my OBA setup holds about 12 cubic feet of air which will fill 3 of my 37x12.50x15 from 10 psi to 25psi without turning the pump on.
That means I need about 4 cu.ft. per tire.

Lets say the compressor is rated at 1cf/min @ 40 psi.
It would take about (less than) 4 min to fill each tire.

Now apply the qualifier of "good" or "bad" based on the fill time.

I did not realize that arb had a compressor like the one you describe with a tank you should be good. Just remember the duty cycle will mean it will need to cool down. so you may not be helping all you buddies. It will have to cool down after 30 min. of operation for 30 min.
Now the good thing about the arb is you get their wiring harness, they did not sell it buy it's self when I did mine and plumbing is also taken care of.
If you run a tank that compressor probably will not run but once or twice a day if you're turning lockers on and of a lot, it takes about 30 times on and off to get my tank down to 85 psi from 105psi. My tank is about 2 gal.
I chose a inside cab install so it would be exposed to less heat an dust.
I keep all my air hose, gauge, etc in my wild child under seat box and have a air quick connect right next to the door post. Hope some of this was helpful.
