thats not too quiet. maybe i should try a mini van muffler huh? lol

If you're looking for low noise dont get the Magnaflow - get a Quiet Flow 2100 from napa (OEM for a Silverado) - here's a thread I posted about my install - I was very happy with the results.

For comparison, here's a vid of my 2into1 that I did on my last truck (with the 3 chamber magnaflow):

FYI I used about six feet of 2.5" pipe, two 90* elbows, two collectors and a quick dump for a tailpipe:

I got a lot of drone from this setup so I swapped the muffler for a Walker Quiet Flow 21400 is great! Sounds like a truck again. The muffler is a monster at 29" long.

The sound is way more subdued than the other mufflers. Not whisper quiet (I dont think thats possible) but no where near as annoyingly loud as it was before. Cruising at 40+ and all I can hear is the wind and the tires (and the header tick ).

Here's the specs on the muffler:

Cost $120
Body Configuration : Dual Offset Inlets - Center Outlet
Body Diameter : 7" x 9"
Body Length : 29"
Muffler Inlet I.D. : 2 1/2"
Muffler Outlet I.D. : 2 3/4"
Muffler Shell Overall Length : 24"

Lifetime warranty too. Here's this one for comparison.

That second video sounds nice!!!!! thats a walker quiet flow 21400?

That first video is way to anoying for me! thats a magnaflow?

Yes and yes.

More of a deeper "burble" with the quiet flow. I really liked it.

Thats with a mildly built 351W with long tubes though.

Mine has a round RV muffler , 2.5 in/out. Pretty long case , but fits fine. 8X26 if I recall.

Quieter and cheaper than most of the performance mufflers , will still make some noise when you nail it.

Next time I will use one of the regular truck mufflers , the one on my old mans Chebby is very quiet with a hint of rumble you don't have to talk over or turn the radio way up to hear , but if you want to just tool around and hear your motor , you can still hear it rumble.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!

Keep that shit up and youll need some more new tires after one of them neighbors "sticks" it to ya!

Maybe you should trade in that bronco?[/QUOTE

I aint the only one who does it around here....a cop tried to put a stop to it but he got his feelings hurt:cool:...

I'm all grown up as well. I don't even have a radio in my truck. Gave up on stereo's in my old age. Can't hear 'em over my exhaust anyways......

You should become president of your home owners association. Sounds like your just the type they need.

Thanks ugly74 and hammer for your input....the crap happened before the bronco was started up again..and yes his heart was broken because he stopped pullin that crap and has since became a cop in south carolina and only comes down here on the weekends...

By the way you could use some growin up too....i love hearin loud pipes an i could care less if somebody else revs their pipes up at midnite or anyother time...if you dont like it you need to go to a gated community...

You can come slash my tires if you want to...

hooker aero chamber, sound really good. cheap too.

Thank You. I've run them all and Hooker aero chamber is hands downs the best I've had. BC headers and an E303 cam with dual 2.5 in and a single 3 out on the Bronco and a straight 3" on my 05 fx4 supercrew.

Hey RebelRider,
I put side-pipes (old school Heep style) on my bronco when I lived down in Florida (mostly mud when offroad). They're probably not most EB owners cup o' tea (and totally impractical if you want to do any rock crawling) but I dig the tone, theyre pretty unique to Broncos and they are loud as H*ll!
They'll most likely come off once my rig is a little more rock-capable tho.

So they are just straight pipes that come out in front of the rear tire?

Pretty much. A little nicer than ol' standart exhaust pipe though. I think they're 4" diameter which gives it a "throatier tone". Not sure if you've ever seen the Lake-pipes people were putting on CJ-7s during the 90's but thats what they are. you can see them in my gallery.

Here are a couple of in cab videos of the Hooker; headers, exhaust and aero chambers.
This is on an otherwise stock 302.
The first vid is pulling on to a 45mph road. It's downhill, so only light throttle after getting up to speed. Follow that up with a bunch of light load driving. While at the stop light, in the last few seconds, you can hear the drivers side exhaust rattle against the radius arm bracket. This was later fixed with a socket and hammer.
The second vid is just a boring and starts with more exhaust to bracket rattling. In the last few seconds, I get on the throttle but let off just as the exhaust goes from the lower rpm rumble to the upper rpm rasp. It still gives you and idea of what they sound like in a stock bronco with just the factory vinyl floor mat.

These vids were an afterthought, on a 3AM grocery run, so be nice.
