How much intrest do you need? Whats the cost going to be? Around $400? I think thats about what the heep ones are going for. Even if they were just the pocket type flare that just screwed or pop riveted into the body like the ones you can get now but look like the F250 flares rolled and stick out 4" I get my income back I'll buy a set.

hmm.. i said it once and i will say it again.. current flares are fine in design and install it is just they do not line up with the body behind the rear wheel if you try and mount them up at the body line.. sure wish someone would make some that would. they would move like hotcakes..

I would be interested in a set if they were fiberglass and glued on like the old ones.

I had them on my 68 with 37x12.5's and they fit great. The part I like about this design is you trim them to be the exact width you want. I don't know how to post a picture here otherwise I would put up an old shot of mine with them.

Keep that interest coming, I hope to have something going with it soon. More interest would be good but I,m thinking that once they are available again that guys are going to show more interest, since they will not be stuck with the silverbacks as their only option for a wider flair, (No offense to wild-horses what so ever)

Guess I'll chime in here...

I sent Pat (stupidboy) home yesterday with his Duff flares to prep them for POSSIBLE molds IF and only IF Suzy permits me to copy them. I didn't know Pat was an autobody god or I'd have told him to prep them before he brought them to me in the first place. She and I have talked and honestly bringing the molds home would be easiest for me. I'd be able to run them in F/G or Urethane. According to Suzy, the cost to get them back is prohibitive and who knows what condition they are in. I've seen shops get 25 sets out of a mold and another get 250. Its all in how you run the molds (and how greedy you are for volume).

I'm thinking about a two piece mold so the inner mounting lip would be molded in. The tough part would be attaching them from behind (probably with squeeze rivets) but it would be very clean.

I have molds that have so much time in them, that I'll never recover the investment. Broncos are not as common has heeps (thankfully) and you guys aren't using your mommies credit cards to buy trick stuff like they do. I don't need huge volume but it would be nice to know a couple dozens sets a year would be realistic before time was stolen from other projects.

If Suzy says go, I may also mold them onto glass lower quarters and front fenders. Just a thought.

The one concern i have is making them a single piece part because they can not be tried to fit different applications. If the flange is molded to the inside of the fender i would have to bow out due to not being able to fit the flares to my rim and height on the body.

Working at making bigger flares, is this what you guys are talking about with the body line? 6" coverage too.

I would go for the 6" flares at the higher to the body line that looks awesome and I can run full-size axels and be covered

I like the different styling over the standard Bronco flares. I am running stock width axles with a 4" lift and 37x12.5x17's. The original flexi glass fenders allowed me to trim the inside edge to match the tire sidewall for a very clean look. Non of the other flares on the market gave the adjust ability that the flexi glass flares did as far as setting width and placement on the truck.
