Hi,
I have evrything installed for the new power brakes booster and new front disc. My question is can I just fill the mastercylinder and start bleeding the brakes from the wheels. The reason I ask is because the directions for the porpotional valve say to bleed the master cylinder first. I've never heard of this and I've worked on cars a big part of my life I just need some confirmation.

Bench bleed it first. It helps keep any excess air going into your lines. Usually a new M/C comes with a cheap little kit. If you have a vice..it is easier, but you can do it on a bench. You hook two small hoses up to where your two lines go in on the side. (Usually there are addapters in the cheap kit) You then take the ends of the two hoses and put them into the two areas where your fluid goes. Add 3/4 brake fluid to both sides. Then take something blunt like a long pencil with eraser side going into the M/C where the rod goes. Push it in and out slowly until all of the air is out of the lines. Then you hook her up to you firewall, hook your brake lines up, linkage, and your done.

You can probably use the pedal. Might be hard to see the fluid running through the hoses so that you can tell when all the bubbles are gone. You might get someone to help you push the pedal while you watch the clear hoses for those bubbles. Just make sure and get all the air bubbles out of those lines.

Yeah you can, you just need a helper to tell you when all the bubble stop coming out of the lines. That's the way I did mine and it's olk

OK Help!
I've bled the M/C now i've bled each wheel. and I hooked up the vacume line to manifold.I had a good pedal until I started the motor then the pedal ALMOST went to the floor. and it is very spongy. I even rebled all the lines and still getting a crapy pedal when the motor is running. Any Ideas are appreciated!

Bleed, bleed , bleed! I had to bleed mine about 4 times to get all the air out. Start from the farthest point from the M/C and bleed forward. Pass. Rear, Driver Rear, Pass. Front, then Driver Front. Make sure you check your fluid level so that it doesn't get low, or you'll getair and have to do it all again. Keep bleeding and it should harden up for ya. Good Luck and keep us posted,

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I've been riding around with a pedal that's so soft, it doesn't activate the brake light switch, BUT I have great braking and the pedal doesn't go to the floor. I've done everything under the sun to try and fix it, but alas, no luck.....thinking hydroboost
