I’m redoing completely the brake system on my 77…well, everything up to the wheels. Have a new vac booster, new master cylinder, new brake lines. I realize bench bleeding the master is a given, but what is the best method to get empty lines full of fluid to be able to bleed brakes? Not a stranger to bleeding brakes but never started with empty lines before.

I often just start with gravity bleeding. Open the bleeder and walk away. Set a timer, you can completely drain a brake system if you forget you left a bleeder open.

Cool beans. At least it’s in my skill set. Thanks for the advice/info. I’ve got this task planned for the 1st task in the rebuild (NO brakes) even though my son tells me that’s what trees and other vehicles are for stopping.

As you said bench bleed the master cylinder. Then start with the furthest wheel. Then work your way back toward the mc.
