I'd like to install an audio receiver in my Tom's center console media slot. But I want a receiver that works with bluetooth A2DP so I can stream music via bluetooth from my iphone through the bronco stereo. Anyone have suggestions for receivers? Any pics of yours you installed?

thanks

I have had great luck with Sony.

You can control the volume and the song with your ipone around the campfire when your rig is 20 feet away.

If anyone gets mad and say change the music, I throw the iphone to them and tell them to pick.

I have a Sony one in my pickup. It works great streaming music from my iPhone, and it even works great for talking on the phone hands-free. It has a built-in mic that works OK but you can also use an external mic if you want to mount it closer to your head. But my favorite part about it is that it doesn't have a CD player to get all F'd up from dirt and stuff. It does have an internal docking station for the iPod or iPhone though, which is behind the removable face. It will charge the iPhone too. And there's a USB plug on the front that you can also use to either charge the phone or stream through USB instead of bluetooth. I don't know the model number but if you look it up on Amazon you'll see it.

Anyone have any other recommendations other than Sony, I have been boycotting their products, since they modified that virus and put it on all their audio CD's and infected a lot of computers. I will be in the market for a sound system soon and I can't in good conscious purchase a Sony.

Just bought this,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047T79VS/ref=ox_ya_os_product

Going to wire it to my amp, which is inside my speaker box and power it off a DC charger. no wires, no receiver, just tunes.

I have thought about doing that, I don't really listen to over the air radio anymore and even if I did, most stations stream over the net. So for me, it's 99% Pandora anyways, I have thought about just wiring the connector and being done with it. It would give me all the features I want, like speaker phone, turn by turn wired into the car audio and of course music.

I have a Parrot Bluetooth with a Kenwood Excelon received (supposed to be one of the best). Its installed in my Xterra and people complain constantly that they can't hear me or its windy, noisey, etc.

Gotta solve for wind and cabin noise in the bronco before and BT solution. Dynamat, carpet, etc.

spring is in the air..........everybody wanting to get some tunes in the EB and ride around

I just went to Car Toys and looked at a Kenwood HD unit with blue tooth for audio and video with garmin NAV.

http://www.cartoys.com/products/pro...od-DNX9990HD-695-inches-DVD-W-NAV-HD-RADIO-BT

Very nice but way too expensive for this ol boy.

Is there a cheaper way, through blue tooth or AUX port, to stream the NAV from my iphone onto a less expensive double din sized system ?

FYI, I went with the Sony DSXS 310BTX. The thing is awesome! I also got 6 JL 6.5" coaxial speakers (2 in the doors and 4 in the rear panels) and a JL XD400/4 4-channel amp.

This thing is small. I see no reason why it shouldn't work exactly as I want. It even includes a 1/8 to RCA cable, so I can jack it right to my amp. Sweet.

I just installed this JVC unit for $100 in my center console and am very happy with it. So much bang for your buck and it sounds so much better than my phone to amp set up I had before. Check out all the high reviews.
It also comes with a hands free calling mic and an extra USB connector that I ran into the center console storage area to hook up a flash drive.
Line to JVC KD-X50BT

.........So how do you turn this thing on... Some of you guys amaze me for sure..
.. I know this that little radio I bought from Crutchfield is a real piece of junk. I think I got the smallest & cheapest one they had. It's so junkey it only has 2 speakers .. I didn't think in my Diesel Bronco I'd know the difference. BUT I sure do.
... I'm wanting another set up.. I'd like sirrus .. and a set up off my Ipod or pandora.

Get the Sony DSXS 310BTX. Totally sweet. It has Pandora and a tray to insert and hide your iphone or ipod or even just a flash drive with songs on it. You can control it all through the face. It also has bluetooth A2DP which allows you to stream music (Pandora, etc.) from your phone directly to the receiver without wires. Same thing for the phone. You can get it on Amazon for $190.

That JVC one I reconended can do Pandora and all my MP3's via bluetooth buy for $100 less than the Sony and I get to keep my phone in my pocket.
You can also install an iphone or android app from JVC that lets you control the Radio with the phone.
