How do you remove the body donuts out of the frame right under the seats? They have a wierd square washer thing on them holding them in.
How does one remove them? I got the bolt out. but how do you get the washer and donut out? I'm good on the others.

Use a drill bit slightly smaller that the hole in the floor. Drill as much out as you can, the heat generated should be enough to 'coax' the washer out. Other than that you can use a sawsall, prybar and BHF..... Usually a combination of all of the above works best...

Thanks i'll try all you mentioned.
it's just like they're caged in there.
I'm installing the 2" lift with new body bushings from Wildhorses.
Shouldn't be too hard if I can get these out.
Thanks again

There are little ears that hold that square washer up in there. I took mine out with a die grinder and the washers fell right out the bottom. With a Friend and I it took around 2 hours to do the body lift. do you have all the other stuff for the body lift i.e. clutch rod, brake lines, steering joint, radiator mounts. If you have any ?'s I just put the same one in mine.

Can't really help you with the best way to get the old bushing out, but here is a little advice when installing the new body lift.

On the bushings that go behind the rear seats, there is a hole in the frame below where you bolt them up. Make sure you tape tat hole shut on each side. If you don't there is a chance the metal sleve can fall into that hole, and get forever lost in your frame.

So either cover the hole in the frame, or glue the metal sleve into the bushing so it doesn't fall into the frame.

I lost one in my frame, took me forever to get it out, I have warned others, and they still lost one in the frame.

I'll definately stop up that hole. - Thanks

Burntfish - with the 2" lift
-lower the radiator or lower the fan shroud and add cowling to adjust air flow.
-add new clutch rod ? where'd you get it?
-new brake line additions which ones?

Thanks

You can lower the shroud, master Cly lines might need to be longer, I made my own clutch rod but you can get a new one at wild horses. Make sure your radiator hoses are long enough if you don't lower the radiator. If you are doing both a body and suspension lift you will need longer brake line that go from the body to the axles. You might have to lower your steering column also I did.

Burntfish, did you have to do any adjusting to the shifter rods?
Mine is on the column and now post lift my shifter won't go in 1st or 2nd.
Other wise I love the lift.
I was adding a flaming river joint in the steering and then cut the shaft too short. Looking for a used lower Manual shaft now.

Thanks

I cut my shaft too short, so I removed the bracket from the column and welded it higher on the column. Then with the smaller steering wheel I think it should be perfect.
