I forgot to bring a bolt with me to compare at the harware store - I am getting all new bolts for the engine block to tranny bell housing. If it matters I'm bolting up an AOD.

What is the bolt size, length, thread?

Thanks!

5/8" X 1 1/2" coarse thread, I also had some that were 2" long.

ben,
wildbill is right! It's a 7/16" bolt with a 5/8" head.
I had to go back out and look at the bolts on my engine stand.
Sorry about the mistake....

7/16"x14 (National Coarse thread) x 1 5/8" long is the stock size. This is an uncommon length but 1 3/4" long will work great also. These should be used with a split lock washer. This is for V-8s with C-4 or manual transmissions. The bottom 4 bolts on a C-6 are about an inch longer.
