Ok I bought a Borgeson set up with lines and GM pump. After driving it, I’m thinking on switching back to factory PS 6 turn. So I would guess my lines are different from Borgeson to the factory box???

Im just wanting to have everything ready before I do the swap back.

PS I guess I’m use to a 6 turn the 4 turn seems to quick for my liking.

Just out of curiosity, do you also have a smaller than stock steering wheel?
That has the effect of feeling like it has sped up even more.

Yes it’s smaller then stock and its not my thing. I know a smaller wheel makes a difference I wasn’t sure how big of a difference.

Pretty big. I have the 6-turn and a small wheel and it feels pretty quick.
Still going to go to a four turn box, but I intend to go to a slightly larger wheel. Maybe not all the way back to stock, but somewhere in between.

You’re not alone in thinking the quicker box is a little fidgety. But not that many people want to go from a four turn to a six turn.
More did however, want to go from a three turn to back to at least a four turn.

What Paul said. Go with the bigger wheel FIRST. You will notice a big difference and like the feel. The more you drive it you will like it. After a couple hundred miles (week for me), you won't ever notice the difference and I'm 100% serious.

Loved my strg response with HB, 40"s, hydr ram, etc. Problem was at idle I would want to turn into a parking space and my pump at idle couldn't move enough fluid to fill the cylinder quickly enough so I could actually feel the fluid getting pumped in to the ram. It would take an extra second or two. Well, after barely clearing a rock or two on the trail, and a couple rear fenders/bumpers in the parking lot I modified the flow and pressure output of my pump. It was SOOoo much different I thought I'd go back to an unmodified pump and hope I didn't hit a big rock/tree whatever on the trail or a car fender/bumper in a parking lot while idling. Very quick, too responsive. I got used to it in about 2 weeks and never looked back.

Go bigger wheel, try it for a couple hundred miles...

I’ll try changing the wheel first. Honestly I never planned on keeping it, anyhow. It’s heck of a lot easier to chance anyways! So I should look for a 15” wheel then?

Thanks for your all input!

Probably.
As long as you can fit in the seat with one.
Is the steering column stock, or has it been changed?
How close does your seat need to be when you’re driving?
And I guess most important question is, what size is your steering wheel now?

I’m guessing it’s a 13” wheel because it measured at 13 3/8”. Also I do have a Flaming River tilt column so size of the wheel shouldn’t be a problem.

“Fidgety” steering is a pretty good description. I might still need to tune other things alignment or suspension? I have a 2.5” but with no drop bracket or drop pity arm. I do have both adjustable track and drag link. I did try to get them parallel like we talked about.

Sounds good.
Definitely change the wheel to the one you will keep, then drive it a bit more.
Or even if it’s not the one you will keep, if you have one that’s bigger diameter it’s worth a little time and effort to swap it out to check.
