Bottle Jack ton recommendation

I'll toss in my recommendation of the FJ80 Land Cruiser spiral bottle jack. Lightweight & no hydraulic fluid to leak out. I was impressed with it on my LC - although it does require handle. Discussion on expedition portal on bottle jacks.


Whatever jack you get make sure it collapses small enough to fit under an axle.

Here are the specs (copied from elsewhere):

Another BBS I used to use started mishandling linked thumbnails recently, so I suspect it's a fault in the mobile version.

Looks like the same mech. jack as in my '84 Xcab Mini "Patch" & in my former FJ-60. Tool kit looks identical the 60's kit too.

Heh, it's probably the same kit that the 200 series comes with as well. Although they don't have a front axle to put it under.

In reviewing the thread, with keeping it Ford in mind, the F250 jack looks nice as well. If it's covered, (& oiled) it should weather well enough for years. Plus it's cheap.

Cool thing is this one extends about twice as far as a 2 stage hydraulic...
