Brass, threaded, fitting on stock nylon fuel line?

I installed a new fuel tank and was planning to replace the stock, nylon, fuel line running from the tank to the pump.

It "T's off" up by the driver's side floor board with brass, threaded, fittings. Any idea how I might get the brass fitting off of the old line and onto the new. Do they need to be pressed on with a special tool or is there an easy way of doing this?

Thanks for any help!

That is a compression fitting. The threaded part is reusable as long as the replacement line is the same OD. The ferrule is not reusable. Most auto parts stores as well as hardware stores should have the replacement parts that you need. Just cut the ferrule off and pull the fitting off the old line. Do a search for "compression fittings" and that should give you all the information you need.

The brass fitting compresses when you tighten the fitting and stays compressed so it cant be reused on another line.

Ah. Grateful for the responses folks! I'll hit the auto store after work. I'm new to the restoration process, so learning as I go! I was hoping it was not some obscur connector that I would never find!
