ITS ALMOST TIME!! Who's wrenching on their shit last minute? I spent most of Independence Day turning wrenches. Changed the rear d/s u-joints, installed a trans cooler, fixed a door latch issue, flushed the radiator, fixed a couple of wiring issues, did a full lube job and a few other things. After work today I'll get the motorhome ready and hitch up the Bronco so its all ready to pull out right after work tomorrow. See you guys up there Wednesday night!

I'm wrenching on mine too! Spent a sweaty day in the garage yesterday with my front suspension all out and wrestled the front end and radius arms back into position myself - maybe that's why I'm a little sore today.

Hope to get everything all buttoned up tonight so I can head west tomorrow. I not only have to make it up the hill to Big Bear but I've gotta make it back/forth across the desert.

I'm driving to SD for work tomorrow night and then plan to come up to Big Bear Friday night.

I'll be the sweaty guy :).

All weekend bud, installed trans temp gauge and not happy with the readings but going to keep fingers crossed. Had loose driver side window frame welded, bikini top trimmed/fitted so it wouldnt flap around the whole weekend.

We ran Miller Jeep trail last Sun. I really overheated my trans. So much so, I cooked the front pump seal. It made it home without AAA, but left a trail of ATF the whole way home. Mon. and today, I changed out the seal and got it back together. (Thank you Skip!) All is good and I'll see everyone Fri. night.

Mark, after installing my trans temp gauge and seeing its running a little hot I started searching here for ideas on good remote coolers. Saw you had installed a Tube and Fin from Summit. Was that not enough cooling for you?

My cooling system for the C4 works perfect. I run two stacked plate type coolers, and deleted the heat exchanger in the radiator. Driver error is what got me on this, I'll tell you the details at the 50th, it's too embarrassing to admit here. %)

Didn't tear the bronco up too bad at the bash but had some work to get the Rv ready. Master cylinder is an sob to change but done. 1 of two leaky water tank drains fixed (read temporarily bypassed).

And as I am typing this, I remember I have a bent TRE I want to replace before I head up. So.... Ya some last minute wrenching to do.

The only thing left for me today is pack and add fluids. Will either head up tonight or in the morning if I have leaks. :)

Bronco Daze was a great success and great time as always. Bitter sweet as it was the 50th celebration but was also the last Bronco Daze. Here are a few pics I took. Please add your pics as well.
