Well I thought I would let you guys in on an upcoming adventure of mine. Two friends and I will be taking my 70 halfway across the good ole US from Chattanooga, TN to Colorado. The whole trip will probably be somewhere in the 3,000 mile range. We are avid climbers and hikers so we plan to climb some 14ers and do some sport climbing while we are there and also do our fair share of 4wheeling/trail riding. I will be leaving in about two months and between now and then I have a decent amount of fixing /upgrading to do to my little beast. So far the list is as follows:

1 inch body lift
Rebuild Dana 20
NV3550
New bumpers
Re-pack axles and check diffs

Those are the biggest things although there are plenty of other small things that need to be addressed before the road trip. I will post pics as I make progress.

Be sure you have a hub socket in case you have wheel bearing issues and the needed allen wrenches to remove the locking hub.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I will be sure to pick up those take those tools and spare parts. I ordered up a pair of bumpers from LMP today. They should be here in about 2-3 weeks. Being able to carry my spare tire and hi lift back the will really help with space.
