Hey CRAZY, have you put your information into the discussion we're having about the "P" and "Q" Broncos? Viperwolf started it and it's called "Mind Your P's and Q's" in Chat.
Check it out and throw your info into the mix if you can.

Judging by your low VIN and the fact that it's an April build means that it's not going to change the info about the changeover between the '72 and '73 model years, but it's still cool to see that stuff come up.

If you get the chance check out the thread.

Thanks

Paul

Paul, I went and looked at the thread you mentioned. It appeared that it was trying to gather build date and VIN info from the vehicle and compare that to the published charts. My 1972 that I asked about above no longer has the sticker with the build date so I did not add the information. However, I also have a 1973 so I added the info from it to the P's and Q's thread.

I know this is an old thread.... but I checked the broncohio decoder for this and not making sense compared to other info I have seen. 11 digit VIN that I *think* decodes to a '70. I thought 11 digit codes were 60's? What year is this? thank-you! (and how did you determine this?)

As far as I know every early bronco came with the same number of digits in the VIN.
So the quantity does not indicate the 60s or 70s model.
You still have the same indicators throughout and the H with the number following it will give you the year.
But I’m not an expert, so the others will have to know it down for you.

What year is it supposed to be?

Seller has no info on it other than it's been on the property for "years". Whatever that means. The H96 would indicate April of 1970 according to broncohio but like I said I thought 70+ had 15digit VINs.
