Great look rig!! I'm beginning to map out the restoration of my '74 Explorer. My plan is to bring it back to the original (color & interior). I have the same interior but mine is tired.

What color is the blue paint?
Where did you find your interior (seat covers, door panels, rear panels and carpet)?

Thanks, much appreciated!

Hi and Thanks!

Slight hijack with apologies to Dennis! I would start a thread for "Broncos with Red Wheels" but I think it would be a short thread!!

Here's the same 69 half cab I posted above after I changed the white steelies with no hub caps to red steelies with dog dish hub caps.
Haha, now see my question in the other thread opens up so many questions on wheel color. I actually now have red and black wheels and have my eye on a set if white 66' wheels but I'm not sure if they were originally black (just picked up a set of black 66 wheels from a member yesterday) or white or what the factory colors were.

Thanks for bringing this old thread back, because I had forgot it.. Originally, from the factory, Ford Broncos had three wheel colors that were specific to the year. 1966 to 1973 were Wimbledon White, 1973 to 1976 were grey (A powder coat color called Window Grey is very close), and 1977 the wheels were argent (silver). The argent wheels that I have seem are not very well painted and many times the back of the wheel is mostly black.. (even with NOS wheels.)

Post away the white wheel Broncos!

In reference to your pm about the rotisserie, this is a white wheeled bronco on the frame adapter just sitting on the ground. The frame has adapters to bolt to most any rotisserie.

Original to me, no idea of they're original to the Bronco. They do have a red and blue line around the rim.

Oh the classic white spokes! Remember them well. Pops bought a 76 Jeep Cherokee in 79. He put White spokes on it. I begged him to go chrome. I think back then the white spokes were 39 bucks each. He didn't want to spend the extra 10 bucks a wheel for chrome! The good old days.

And the chrome was good stuff. Didn't have rust on it in a year

Here's my wagon wheels from a 1982 pic. :) Ran them for two reasons. One they were cheap. Two, they were cheap. :)

I've always loved white wheels myself.

Cool pic! The front wheel is still about half white. The rear is a little less from the salt spray. It looks like a '71 with the optional 'low noise exhaust'.%)
