Bumper Talk - What looks good?

Trying to sort out bumper options for the eb. The stock bumpers look good, but on a lifted rig with big tires they just look a little dainty imho. Not saying they look bad, just not well proportioned:

I ordered the Toms impact bumpers and when they arrived they just looked a bit big. I do love that you can mod them woth LED bars, and that makes them “look” a little less bulky, but it’s still the same size. In these examples, the impact bumpers looks good:

In these examples, it looks too bulky, not properly proportioned:

The tube bumpers like I currently have look ok, but I’m not personally crazy about them:

What are you guys running?

Is there a middle ground between the flimsy stock bumper and the big bulky impact bumpers?

While I agree the tube bumpers you currently run appear dated, it's really a matter of personal preference.

It sounds like you may be best served by working with a fabricator for something one off.

Your first picture is not a good example of the stock bumper in an appropriate condition. That bronco looks to have at least a 3 inch body lift and nothing done to cover the huge gap. Definitely not the best example.

Look at some other stock bumper setups before ruling them out completely.
Personally I love the look of a narrowed stocker.

Great looking Bronco. I like the tubes you have, they seem to fit your build. I like the look and functionality of the built-in lights and if you're going the Impact direction, there are a number of good front/rear choices. I like the look of the spare on the bumper (especially in the center) but they always seem to be a little bit overengineered for my taste and use.

I'm on Bronco #3 and I find myself trending back to a more traditional look so I have stock bumpers and recently removed my spare tire carrier.

Fair, the first photo is a bit extreme haha. I like the stock ones, I do, I think I need to spend more time irl checking them out.

Mine with winch pass through.

I love this! It’s the stock bumper but a little beefed up. This is great. The two vertical pieces on either side of the winch pass through, are they part of the bumper or welded on after? I haven’t seen a “stock” bumper that looks like this..

Personally, I have never liked the look of tube bumpers. They just look cheap and I don't like the view between the tubes. The first time I seen ared77's stock bumpers with hidden wench, I was hooked. This is the direction I will be going. ared77's wench bumper was custom built by the previous owner of that Bronco. I have the link to the build but the photos are no longer available in that thread.

I was just at the James Duff web site. They now have the Lick Creek / James Duff offering of a hidden wench mount for the stock bumper.

Yeah, Thanks gnstream I was going to try to find Tonys link for original poster.

Built by a guy who used to be on here named Anthony Ramos, went by xcntrk on this site. As said before link is still here but sadly all the old photobucket pics are missing.

Im in the same boat. Lifted with the old Smitty Built Tube Bumper. I really like the slim line Bumper from Toms and have been leaning that way for a while. It shows off the front end and grill area very nice which IMO is a must.

I'm a Bailie Built fan myself, I've even used theirs on other vehicles. I think you have to ask but he does do a non winch version.

for sure... rough rugged and even a new tire carrier coming out soon

I really liked the look of my Logan's bumper but when I narrowed my front end I made my own bumper instead of cutting down the Logan's.

Made by a member here. Front bumper made to except what ever winch you choose to use. Rear bumper made for big spare and Mud jack mount. Very well thought thru build.
