Some of you will remember this Mercon in my C-4 thread

And I have continued to have problems even after several fluid and filter changes. It sometimes slips between 1st and 2nd shifts and always delays then initially slips in reverse. I have a good rebuild guy here locally (not Mr. Mercon) and was thinking about having it rebuilt, or buying this one off ebay

What would you guys do, what is an off road converter, and any other thought would be welcomed.

Thanks

I bought one of Luke Jackson's C-4s and a 3500 stall converter from him off Ebay around Christmas time. I had a bellhousing issue(not his problem) that he really helped me to work out. The tranny is not in my Bronco, but in my '65 Falcon. It has performed flawlessly. I recommend him. When the C-4 goes bad in the Bronco I'll buy one from him again!
