Getting ready to put the new 302 back in and I don't remember if I need a gasket between the shield and motor and or the shield and transmission. Thanks for any help. I would change my user name to Stupidboy but it's already taken.

You wont need a gasket on either side of the shield.

I put just a little foamy rubber on the block side of the blockplate to keep it from rattling. I've seen a bunch of stock ones that used to have some there too.
