C4 transmision length. case fill vs pan fill

They are measuring the whole trans with 2wd tailhousing, a shorter tailhousing may have been more common on one or the other.

FWIW advance adapters has a shorty adapter for the c-4 for the atlas, must be full manual but might help on the length.

There was a fixed yoke short output 2wd version used in trucks and vans that was about 6" shorter than the car version. Apparently used '67-'71, but I didn't spend much time researching that.
Not relevant for a 4wd application.

Well that's way cool, what's your drivetrain plans? Small block ford/auto/quickchange? Flathead? Early hemi? What class rules will you have to meet?
