Question about camber shim installation please. Does the shim go between the knuckle and the caliper bracket, or between the caliper bracket and the spindle?

Shim goes on first. You want the caliper bracket and spindle in the same orientation, so the pads and rotor are parallel.
Damn, I definitely did this wrong, time to pull it apart
