Camper Special Master Cylinder and Disc Conversion Q

Have the Camper Special Master Cyliner. Tried to remove the ball and spring from front res. per disc upgrade instuctions. when I pulled the tapered brass piece there was nothing behind it. Anyone have this MC with a disc kit?

was this the big reservoir?

I have seen a lot of rebuilt MC with out check ball installed.

yes the big res in the back that goes to the front wheels. I bought it rebuilt from Autozone or Orielly.

No check ball, no spring, no plastic piece. I guess I will know once I bleed and use the brakes. I will just jack up the front to check for drag.

The camper special master cylinder is already for front disc brakes so no check valve is in there. There should be a check valve in the rear port for the rear drum brakes. If you have rear discs then you would pull that valve.

You remove the check ball & spring on the stock drum/drum M/C after you do the upgrade, not when you switch to a different/larger M/C.
