Actually, I removed the front clip. Had a lot of quality time with the grinder, cutoff wheel, flap wheel, die grinder, sawzall, Dremel cutoff wheel, MIG, etc.

The bolts holding the fender to the A pillar were a real joy. Three on each side and each one was frozen to the caged nut. Ended up grinding the heads off to get the fenders off. Once the fenders were out of the way, I still had to get the bolt shanks out.

I ended up MIG welding washers to the bolt shanks, then welding 7/16" nuts to the washers, and then using a wrench to turn the bolt. 4 out of 6 came out; the other two snapped off flush, so I drilled them out and tapped to the next larger size (3/8").

always quality time right lol takes some effort

The through bolts rust behind the nut and almost guarantees you will have to do surgery.
