Can I keep EGR without the Explorer elbow?

Is their a way to eliminate the 90 degree elbow on the Explorer intake and keep the EGR?
The cold air intake I have planned would need a big S curve if I can't get rid of the elbow or the other option is no EGR.

My Google-fu is weak on this.

I believe the answer is only on the 96 motor with the internally feed EGR. The EGR valve on a 96 uses the same plug as the 87-93 Mustang.

You can use a Mustang based EGR spacer that is 70mm and a matching 70mm TB.

On my current build for my 67 EB, I have a 96 Explorer motor and I do not want to use the elbow. If I use the EGR spacer, then I can run a match Mustang 70mm TB with a Mustang accel cable.

EGR Spacer needs a little machining (Explorer gasket) where the exhaust gas enters - see pic (This is a stock Mustang spacer 60mm i believe)
