Mark, my prayers are with you to be strong and beat this thing! My aunt has beat cancer 2x, wouldn't know she was ever sick today. Once when I saw her after the stem cell replacement I didn't think she would live through the week. Just shows that anything is possible.

Hang in there Mark!

3 years ago I was told that I had something wrong with my heart durring a routine physical. The cardiologist found a critically large aneurism on my aorta and a damaged aortic valve. I know how hard it is to get diagnosis that turns your life upside down. A week later I had major open heart surgery. A proceedure that was impossible just a few years ago. After a couple of months I was able to start working on my Bronco project. It really helped with my recovery by keeping me from dwelling on my condition. I spent a lot of time (too much) on CB. Next month I celebrate 1 year back at work. The doctors can do amazing things these days. Keep a positive attitude. You have a great support group here. Keep the faith brother!

No question in my mind, this can be beat. Don't let it get you down. Modern medicine is Awesome! For different reasons, I have also had my large intestine and several feet of small intestine removed. For me it was an unpleasant disease known as Ulcerative colitis. Not the C word but pretty nasty. I dealt with it for years before having the surgery. When I had the surgery, it was still "experimental". Now they do it all the time. It was 17 years ago this summer for me. Other than a big scar and a few pills a day, life without the old large intestine is 100% normal, actually, better than normal. On the bright side, guys like us without large intestines won't have to have a colonoscopy every couple years when we get older! They can't scope it if you don't have one! Hang in there, I know it can feel like the progress is slow sometimes but you'll back in action before you know it.
