Great catch Paul! Yes, I play a lot of Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show and as you probably know, Shel wrote tons of their songs..... especially the risqué and now day controversial ones.

Are we likely to hear Shel Silverstein's poetry or dulcet tones at some point?;D

I've been in O&G for about 6 years. I was a completion fluids engineer (mainly offshore). Did OTR trucking for 2 years before that, and I was a skydiving and rock climbing instructor for 5 years before that. I got laid off last February, and managed to quickly get back into another O&G job (senior applications and technical support engineer) and I've been hanging on ever since. Took a huge pay cut but I'm glad I did now, because I still have a job and all the people I knew who were too proud to make less money are broke and unemployed now.

Uber

Well, posted up on this tread before that I'm in sales in the telecom infrastructure industry.

Ingot solstice and tired of hearing my wife bitch about spending money on the bronco, which is a pittance compared to what most spend, I signed upnto drive for Uber on the weekends.

In full disclosure, I was hoping after I told the wife, she'd give up bitching and I'd be able to drop about $2500 to get where I want to go. No dice!

Well, the plan is to cart folks around until I hit that $2500 and get the parts I need.

Anyone need a lift?

Good one! Yep, I'll call for a ride to help a bronco brother out. I'm not likely to be in your neighborhood anytime soon, but you never know.

I thought you were joking but glad you found something to work things out.

I hate to say if I had to deal with the complaining I would be looking to upgrade and it wouldn't be the Bronco:eek::-X:eek:

Reminds me how lucky I got, she even said to buy the last one. Though the color and the promise of air conditioning might have helped.

I work in an university library special collections and archive. It's a hodgepodge job of art restoration, photography, cataloging donations, staring at people as they view our documents and generally assisting patrons with their research.

Retired military, retired from RCA/GE Data Systems and real estate. Now just retired. Wife is retired Post Master. I spent several years as a District Chairman for American Legion Baseball and as an umpire for high school, legion and college baseball. Was a student pilot then had some health issues and now retired from umpiring and flying. Now I still like to volunteer when possible, but like car shows and things like that. Always like old 4x4s and the EB was always my favorite.

First and for most, I wanted to say thank you to all military personnel and police officers on this site.. I respect what you do and have done.

My dad grew up picking cotton, and plumbing in Alabama. When things got tuff down there he moved to Michigan to work for GM. He also started a branch of his dads plumbing company. Thank goodness he did, even though I swore I'd never be a plumber growing up, after collage I couldn't find a job worth a darn..
