I picked up a couple of pretty wide steelie rims a while back. One rim has the dimension stamping in the first photo and the other has the logo in the second photo. Can any of you rim experts tell me anything based on these stamps?
A 15x5½ is not a wide wheel. If that dimension is stamped on the center, and the wheel is wider than 5½", then they are probably stock wheel centers that have been re-hooped, or maybe cut and widened. I'm not familiar with the round logo.
Then they have been widened in one way or another. More pictures would help figure it out. Both front and back sides, and maybe one of the rim, if there are no tires mounted now.

Used to be several companies and many talented individuals that built wheels like that. I used to buy split shells and wheel centers and build my own, now it is almost impossible to just buy the parts.
Yup. Factory Ford 15x5½ centers hand welded into a pair of 4" shell halves. You can see where they drilled out the original rivets holding the center to the narrow rims. No way to determine who did the widening.
