Caribbean Turquoise or Lunar Green

Is the Turquoise and Lunar Green similar in person? I have rust free 67 that shows a paint code of Lunar Green. After stripping off some of the sliver paint that was on it I am really liking this color but it doesn't look like the paint charts I found. It looks more turquoise.

No warranty plate on the driver kick panel? I'll go with Frost Turquoise or Peacock blue.

Yes it says Lunar Green but this color looks different to me and appears tot be the original everywhere I strip paint. It was a Nov 66 build

After this many years of fading I could see it being Lunar Green.
You're right it looks like one of the others too, but even when new some of them were pretty close. My '68 is original Peacock Blue but in just the right light, or from just the right angle, it's a dead-ringer for Caribbean Turquoise.
But in most other lights, it's very obviously not.

And if you look at the charts we have here on file in the "Master Color" thread, for '66 Peacock Blue IS turquoise! For '68 Peacock Blue does not look like my blue either, and yours does look like Frost Turquoise.
I've never been too impressed with Ford's paint color consistency when the names get involved.

Mine is lunar green but has faded into a nice turquoise color after 15 years in the sun.

After hosing off 25 years of dirt in the engine bay, it does look more green there under the rattle can black. I just got the Marti back tonight and it definitely shows Lunar Green but was surprised to see a bench seat on there. Sold new in AZ and never left, that was pretty cool and explains why no rust.

Here is Lunar Green. It does tend to fade in the sun and looks different in different pics - especially digital photos viewed on computer screens. I love the color. It gets lots of comments. My first Bronco was a 69 in Lunar Green and I painted my trail rig to match it.

I found more! I love finding these AZ trucks. Since they are not rusty they often have the original paint under layers of bad paint like this one. A little sanding and paint sripper reveals a lot. Now I have to decide whether I keep it like it is or restore it.

Cleaning off layers of paint to reveal original is one of my favorite things. A lot of times you can use oven cleaner to strip and just a green scotch pad which tends to be less likely to sand through the original paint. I have run into occasions where the oven cleaner doesnt touch the paint on the outside without sitting for quite a bit.

I think I will sell it and let the next owner decide that. I realized I have too many projects going on last night when i was staring at it!

The bronco in my avatar has the original paint. It’s a 68 peacock blue, been stored inside it’s whole life so color should be right.
