Centch harness steering column connector

Centch installation manual refers to the bronco in early mid and late years

witch era dos the 69 fall under

my wires

2-wire connector is orange with blue stripe green with orange stripe

6-wire connector side A blue green yellow
side B blue with yellow stripe, green with white stripe, white with blue stripe

From the colors you described it looks like you have the early style. If you look on the lists of early, mid, and late you'll notice the mid and late have no yellow wire.

It is early (2 connectors) but only the late ones (half round connector) don't have the yellow wire.

now im hooking wires to my dash fuel switch
can i use the wiper-radio wire for the 12v source for both radio and fuel switch ? input thoughts ?

trying to keep it clean with out single wires running to and from engine bay

If you mean the stock fuel sender switch in a stock configuration then no. It doesn't get 12V. If you are using it for something else you need to tell us what that is before asking this question.

sorry should of said iv got the electric valve switch that mounts on frame right now iv got it hooked to the ACC post on the back of the ignition switch.

dash and harness is on deck table

Ok. As long as the 12V source is fused it will be fine. Here is a diagram for the switch wiring.

Yellow CD.player wire 5amp fused and plugged into centch wiper-radio auxiliary power


if this is good its ready to go into bronco mines the gauge cluster witch is at classy chassis restoration

I don't know anything about your CD player.

It's probably using the yellow wire to power the unit (most current through here) and the red wire is just used to sense when the ignition switch is on. It won't hurt to have a fuse on the red wire though. It can be very small like 1 amp.

Gauge questions

turning ignition to on fuel gauge go to full but im sure its less then half a tank.

temp climes to hot and beyond

input or thoughts ??

Possible bad ground at cluster/IVR. Oil pressure should show similar symptoms.
