centech wiring question

I'm installing a new wiring harness from centech, I have two question. First, how do I install the Alt gauge in the instrument cluster? There are no posts to hook any wires to, just what looks like a round clamp. Second, after replacing the hook up for the old steering column, I am left with an extra wire, a Red/Gray wire. Wild horses told me it was a A/T position indicator, but no idea what to do with it, my bronco is a 77 A/T 302. Thanks for any help.

For the alt gauge, you can determine which direction it's headed by reading the label on the wire and insuring it's heading in the right direction to show charge. I splice with solder and shrink tube going the correct direction (same as factory harness) and you'll have no problem.

And if you're running an upgraded alternator of anything over 70 amps or so, you don't even use the ammeter any longer.
So if that's the case here, don't bother cutting it.
