So I may be the last one to realize, but borescope are super cheap now and work on your smart phone! It would be a great tool when buying engines and Broncos ect... and looking deep into all those hidden places! May save you from buying a problem like I have done in the past! The one I bought was on amazon for under $20 and had same day shipping. Its fun to find what is hidden beside rust too!

Thanks
John

/\/\ Good advice there.
Also check the reviews on them, there are some poor quality ones on the market and not only the cheapest priced.

There are tons to choose from...I would buy a little bit bigger one and hopefully get better pictures. It also came with attachments. magnet and hook to retrieve something that you may have dropped down in a hard place to reach...and mirror for looking to the side.
it does fit in the unerhood cowl holes, rocker drain holes and door post...fun seeing how much ear hair you have too!

Something to be aware of is that some Android cell phones do not support using the micro USB to use other devices, check if your phone supports USB On The Go (USB OTG) before you buy.

There are also wireless inspection cameras for phones.
