Cheap turn signal upgrade

One of my 20 year old LED turn signal bulbs finally gave up and I ordered new ones from Amazon. I figured I'd share since these are very bright and pretty cheap in comparison to other high end turn signal bulbs.

These are 1157 LED bulbs with projector lenses on the end. Running lights are nice and bright and the turn signal flash is very bright.

Here's a picture of them in park mode, the new bulb is on the driver side and the old one is on the passenger side. I know it's a random thread, but wanted to share a good find

Did you already have a resistor in place from the prior installation or is one not needed?

Thanks. Did you put LEDs in your tails and reverse?

I do have led tail lights, but theyre full boards and not the same bulbs as these

I installed LED flashers so I didn't need to use resistors. I installed those when I did my build originally so I didn't have to splice in resistors

Not sure if these are what you meant by head on photos. Here are some with the lense off, on and with the bulb off and on

Are the led flashers the newer louder ones? I installed the newer style flashers because I liked being able to hear em. I wonder if they work with these

I have LED flashers as well. They are standard relays, so no louder than the usual relay. The flash rate is what is electronically controlled instead of the bi-metal that heats up from the bulb current type control.

What I always hated about LED bulbs is that there was not enough brightness difference between the parking lamp (when the lights are on) and the full brightness of the brakes or turn signal. I finally found the Zevo brand red LEDs for the rear to be adequate.

I have something similar to the ones posted here for the front (a different amazon seller), and I'm not as impressed as the zevo red in thr rear, but they work.

When I went to replace the flasher my napa was out of the correct older one. He said the newer electronic style would work but there's a loud tick. After installation I prefer the tick since on any true eb at least one of the turn signals doesn't shut itself off.
