Chrome Factory Tire Carrier?

Was there such a thing as a factory chrome spare tire carrier? On the 75 I have the carrier, brackets, and latch are all chrome. And it looks like factory parts not aftermarket parts that we chrome and added to the truck. This truck has had repaints and is not 100% original so it is possible that someone had the parts chromed at some point. I checked the Marti report and it did have the swing away carrier from the factory. Don't think I have ever seen one that was chrome before, just wondering if it was an option or just some ones handy work.

Pretty common modification back in the day. Not a factory option.

Back when chrome was affordable. Too expensive today. Shoebox of boat trinkets was nearly a grand.

That's what I thought. Its too bad the main bar is rusty. It looks good with the sport trim.
