If you have to do a little body work on the grille before powdercoating it you can use jb weld and equivalent since it has a metal filler base and will conduct causing the powder to stick to it. If you arent sure what to use just ask your powdercoater, they know all the tricks and each have their preference.
Hey Bitchin, send me a pic too. joshuastover@yahoo.com

Bitch'nBronco, It looks great! I'd love to see some pics in the sun! It doesn't look as shiny as chrome, but that could just be the pictures. Or, is it a different look?
Very Cool!!! I'm definitely interested. My grill is white (goes with the white top and flares). But I think Chrome would be sweet (to match my bumpers and trim.

PDXBronco pics sent. The powder coat is not as bright as the chrome, but it is pretty comperable. I couldnt get pics of it in the sun, because I think it wants to snow, maybe tomorrow though. I didnt think of JBweld, so I got it back with the coating on everything. The coater guy I used out here told me that Powder Coat is one of the best primers you could use. So, I just scuffed it up with the sandpaper, stuck the green bondo on it, and started blocking. I will definatley get some pics of it in the sun for yall asap. Oh yah, and if you coat it, rather than chrome it; if a rock hits it or somthin like that on the road or bugs it will dent a little bit rather than flake. So there are definatley bonuses. The only downide is that it is not as bright as chrome. I think it looks pretty good though.

This is a nice one!

This one was chromed in the center only, somewhere in Arizona. At least that's what Lonnie from Tom's Bronco told me. I have no ideal how they did it.

I was thinking of trying out some of this Stuff in the center of the grill. I know it is going to be a ton of work to get the grill flat enough to spray this on but I think it is a nice touch in the end.

I think it is from K bar S.......

Funny....... Just pulled a Bronco home yesterday, and it to had a chrome grill. I bought the Bronco sight un-seen, and to my surprise... it had a chrome grill. After I got home Classic Broncos(search) was the first stop to see what was up with this chrome grill...... I now see others have them too.

The PO said he remebered them in 4x4 magazines as an option(Maybe a K-Bar-S Add?).... And it was titled in CO.

It would be great to know started the chrome grill! Anyone?

snow

Looks good, nice to see there are a few out there.
PS nice to see some snow in the background. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to work around that stuff.

The chrome grill is the only body panel that isn't rusted out.......

A buddy just looked in his '83 K-Bar-S catalog, and didn't see anything.
