Clutch pedal bushing help

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

As I was driving home from work on Wednesday, I sawed through the second cotter pin in the year and a half I've owned my Bronco. Being proficient in the art of driving without a clutch, I nursed it home the last 5 miles or so. My wife just rolled her eyes when I told her the tale... :)

I remember in one of my catalogs a year or so ago that there's a nylon bushing that goes to the clutch linkage assembly (where the pedal meets the rod). For the life of me I can't find that catalog, though.

Anybody know where I can purchase this (or something that can work)?

TIA,

Jerry

Jeffs should have them, or Ford, or any of the online Mustang places.

I got a bushing and felt kit from Jeff's. Local parts house %) You know that kid behind the computer that asks (Is it fullsize?) wouldn't even bother to try looking it up.

AutoKrafters has them to more than likely if your bushings are gone you will have to do some repairs to the linkage my clutch rod was eaten about have way through as was hole in the idler lever had to weld them to build the metal back up the get the rod as round as I could with a file and drill a new hole in the lever its all good now gets rid of a lot of the slop that was in it

The same exact thing happened to me today (Friday, day after Thanksgiving) as I was driving my recently-purchased Bronco ('68 wagon) to my mom's for left-overs... stomped on the clutch for the 2-3 shift and ka-bam! Right to the floor!

I managed to hook it back up with the lame-o cotter pin the PO used, but then swapped it out with a piece of wire coat hanger. Not the most elegant fix, but it's much sturdier than what was there.

"...but then swapped it out with a piece of wire coat hanger."

Happened to my '68 out in the boonies about a year ago. Used a piece of barbed wire. Finally replaced it and the bushing a few months later. Hey, whatever works! ;D

I can't help you... but at least that didn't happen with your brake pedal. It's not cool when that happens, guess how I know.

Thanks to all that answered.

Like I hinted at, I've been through this procedure a couple of times before, so I know I can get the truck going in about 5 minutes with yet another cotter pin. Just wanted to get the bushing so that it would prevent it from happening again so quickly.

Jeff's has 'em for $3 a piece, fits both brake and clutch. So, I'm getting a couple to be done with it...

Dealership

Ford still has them, believe it or not, but don't tell the dealearship what you are looking for. If you do, the parts guy will roll his eyes back in his head and then start parusing the microfilm. Just take your clutch rod to the counter and say "I need one of these".
No microfilm, no problem.
