Clutch Release Arm Pivot Bracket

My clutch pivot rod bracket is a bit warped and the pin is chewed up (see photos). I can definitely straighten out the bracket but the pin is pretty beat. Should I run it as is or replace it? I could only find a replacement bracket but it’s for a 66-68 only and it doesn’t come with a pin. Any ideas on where I could source a new pin or new set up? Also safe to assume that I just need to add a c clip to the end to lock in the pin?

I would suggest getting a long grade 8 bolt, long enough to cut the threads off and use a cut off wheel to cut a grove for the clip or leave the threads and use a lock nut.

Thats a good idea, assuming I can find one with a long enough non-threaded part so the clutch fork can move freely without hangups.

Try looking at McMaster Carr they have lots of hardware and possibly a pin closer to what you have,,if you click on the part # of what ever your looking at on there site they have very good detailed drawings with dimensions ..

I’ve never seen one like that. Or at least not that I remember. Where is it located and what engine bell housing combination is it from?
Is that a six cylinder perhaps?

I'm guessing it's a home made model. Betting the pivot is fabbed also.

You’re both right, it’s some hodgepodge setup so I’m going to replace the whole bellhousing with the right set up. Side note - I’ll be posting random clutch fork pivot arm bracket for sale soon ! 😂
