Converting Manual Column to Automatic

I have purchased everything to do my automatic conversion.. but the automatic column I purchased was bent. I have a good 3 speed column and was wondering since looking at the column part diagrams the main tube is the same just the upper assembly where the shifter sleeve is at and the lower where the shifter forks are at are the only difference. Is it possible to make a automatic column with the parts from both and make a good Automatic Column? Trying not to spend $500 on a new column. Thanks.

I built an auto column from a 77 EB 3 - speed column and a 77 F150 automatic column, so I bet you could do it with all Bronco parts.

I am going to try put the 2 together might have to purchase a few parts but I think with the 2 I can make 1. Will keep you posted.
