Couple questions on suspension rebuild and brake conversion

I'm thinking my next project will be overhauling the entire suspension and converting the front axle to disc brakes at the same time.

The thought behind these things are just ensuring it's road worthy, and steps towards what will be essentially a full restoration. While having the front end pulled off I plan to clean up and paint the axle housing as well as all the suspension mounts.

I'm leaning towards going with this kit from Toms for the suspension, and this kit from Toms for the front disc brake conversion. I'd love any thoughts anyone has on these.

The Bronco is 100% original and I want to keep it as close to that as possible, but feel like the conversion to disc brakes is the right move from a safety perspective as well as availability of parts and ease of maintenance.

Can’t go wrong with adding front disc brakes. Had drum brakes front and back on a previous 72. Even with them being well adjusted and maintained, one should watch way down the road for possible need to stop cause ya ain’t gonna stop on a dime. Lol.

Just did a very similar suspension and front disc upgrade. New tires and the front discs make a huge difference is stopping ability compared to old tires and drums. Make sure you replace any old bushings you can while everything is apart so you don’t have to take everything back apart to replace c-bushings and radius arm bushings like me. And if you change knuckles/drag link/tie rods make sure to get an alignment. Made all the difference in how it handled.

I'm in the same process, before ripping everything apart, unless you've done this a few time, I'd wait to gather all your parts before performing project, when buying your main products, take in you machinery and the availability of having some one else perform your work into consideration, I live very rual and my machinery is limited, so my projects get drawn out for long periods of time. It takes a toll! I'm in Montana and wished Squared body Broncos were a bigger thing, it sounds like you're on the right track, just stay out of the rabbit holes. Tom's, Wild Horses all Good shops! Good Luck!
