Where is your clear filter located? I'm guessing by the carb. Does the new pump have the same style filter attached to it as the old pump? They clog easily. My vote is for a big initial filter before the pump and ditch that attached filter. May or may not be the issue, but at least check that filter

Filter near carb. The filter on the pump you can blow through easily. Its new as is the pump. New tank...

No hiccups since removing the converter and new exhaust. So far so good...
