Crossing border with a tub

Has anyone ever crossed the border from the USA to Canada with only a Bronco tub? Just wondering if there would be any hassle with bringing the tub across and either country classifying it as a vehicle being exported? I would sure hate to get to the border and have to leave it on the side of the road for the vultures to come get.... and no I'm not telling which crossing I'm using...

I have more questions than answers.
Can't answer your question. But if you use the the one close to me and they won't let you cross I could help you out. I would think with a good title it should go. Have you tried to call the stations?

I have crossed the border with engines and etc. here is what you do make sure you have the VIN number with you check in at the US Customs tell them what you are doing with the tub and that it will be coming back (you may have to pay duty) some customs stations will write you a slip or a receipt basically stating the origin of the item you are crossing. Then you can either load up and bring it across or check with your Canadian counter-parts explain to them what is going on and what you are planning. .

id call where you plan on crossing. If crossing into Canada call the Canada side of the crossing. We tried to cross into Canada with a enclosed trailer and 6 Hardleys and they hassled us for hours. Checked vins and wondered why some of the 40 year old shovelhead bikes didn't have matching numbers on the frame and motor. They basically turned us back because they thought we were running a chop shop! Nedless to say the next day we pulled the bikes out of the trailer and rode them through the crossing with not a single hold up.

For some strage reason there was a grateful dead concert that weekend in Canada and they were stopping and harassing every vehicle that had long hair people in it%) or that looked like pot smokers.

If your from Canada and crossing back into Canada they probably wont care much, but if your a US citizen crossing into Canada they will harass you im sure.
