Okay, took some pics of our members only run at Crozet today, but I'll have to warn you, I was the only Bronco and no one took pictures of it (that I'm aware of). I went alone, my wife had to work, my 16 year old had to tutor someone, and my 12 year old had indoor field hockey. Oh well, so it goes. It was the Bronco's inaugural run. Drove her to and from. The front diff took a beating, the pinion guard from the mass buy a couple of months ago has already saved me money, and my 9" is now shaven. Oh, and piss me off, the transfer case kept popping out of 4WD. I'm gonna have to remedy that! All in all, a very good day. The pics with the orange cones are of the comp, pure madness! Enjoy the rigs, the flops and the carnage.

at least you brought a bronco to add a little class to the trail run. i agree there are some sweet buggies there but also some ugly caging work. either way it all looks like you had a great time.

Yeah, from one extreme to the other. Dad has a V8 and Rockwells sitting on 49s and I'm not even sure which buggy his son was driving, either the one with a Chevy Vortec engine, D60s & 39s or the one with a Geo Tracker motor, Toy axles & 37s.

That does all this.

Fun, relatively cheap with money spent on just the right places. Pretty awesome. Dad's a beast though! :p

I didn't enter the comp. I was the time keeper and risked my life just doing that. Shoot, you had to hit the start and finish cones and there were three additional cones for points and one for bonus points with a 5 minute time limit and points deducted for backing up. Hell no! I mean I'd go through that course with a spotter at a normal pace, but these freaks were literally "flying" through the course. I think one of the best times was 2:13, with no breakage but a TOTAL disregard for the vehicle! TOTAL CHAOS! I was standing back, just past the second cone thinking, okay, I can see the judge and will see when he signals me to start the time, when all of a sudden, nano-seconds after starting the clock, I was scrambling to get the hell out of the way with no idea which cone those cuckoo's were gonna aim for next. Their rigs went airborne and which ever direction they were aiming towards upon landing was the line they picked for the next cone. You'd think there was a million dollar prize for the winner. It was just for bragging rights. Screw that, I've got an EB. That's enough bragging for me. I don't want to appear too cocky, you know, winning and all. Seriously though, it was nuts but tons of fun. :D

Not really, but it is unique. It looks like it was designed by the old Windows screen saver.

Ahh the tube screen saver. Good eye! Well the vehicle is actually very interesting and probably very capable but damn its got some ugly tube work. How did it wheel?

Looks like a great time and some very creative rigs. How did you get the buggy with the broken high steer arm out? Looks like somebody is going to have fun extracting that broken bolt. Thanks for the pics.

Now you guys, someone spent a lot of time lovingly bending each and every one of those tubes, while spending time with their buddies and drinking lots of barley pop. Which could account for the looks of the final product. "Function before fashion," I always say.

this is where you're talking about going Axel? Looks sweet,Chuck

Yeah, it's privately owned land in Crozet, VA, approximately 80 miles west of the Hooters in Richmond where the MEB Get Together will be taking place. I've emailed the Rock Crawlers for the Preservation of Future Access (RCPFA) club bod to formalize my request to extend the invitation. ;D More to follow...
