Custom console brackets

Just sharing an idea. I installed a new console and didn't want to drill holes through my nice new floor. So I made some brackets that utilize existing bolts (seat belt and seat bolts). Drilled and tapped the holes into my brackets for the bolts holding down the console.

tack welded nuts under the brackets for the console bolts.

Really nice! Wish I had your creativity! I have a welder, nice one, but I don't have a creative bone in my body. You did a really nice job on that install.

Very clean look definitely takes care of drilling holes in the floor.

Thanks all. As I install stuff I am trying to see if I can not modify the truck or drill extra holes. Took a couple hours to design and make the brackets, but solved the problem. Used scrap metal I had laying around, so other than my time and some welding wire it wasn't much cost.

That's a great idea! I bought one a few months ago and installed with pvc pipe extensions to get the clearance above the seat belt bolts. I like how you added that into the bracket. Any flex on that front bracket? Seems that extending the middle piece and attaching it to the rear might be a little more stable underneath. Will have to try this after the floor is replaced.

Drove around a lot over the weekend. Console is stable. Might feel a little bit of shake when the truck hits a pot hole, but nothing bad. Speakers sound good. I'm happy with the result. Having cup holders and arm rest is great.

JefeAZ, just make sure to read the customer reviews on Amazon. I found them very helpful and leaned me towards a console sold by Broncograveyard, which I bought from graveyard.

Just picked up my console from 4WP. Rampage Denim Spice 31517 on sale for $69. Made in China but Im fairly impressed with the quality. The front cupholders pop out for hidden storage

Looks like it will be a very close match to my Toms Spice Fold n Tumble. Notice the 4" mounting bracket, cant use that! Ill be attempting something similar to yours.

I love fabbed stuff, and this is very well done sir! You are motivating me to deal with a similar problem with the three point seat-belts and console interference in my wife's Bronco.
