Mine quoted $400 for new dual pipes from the headers back, with Dynomax mufflers and Chrome tips. He is giving me a police discount, but normal price would be around $550-600.

I paid 15 per bend and cant member how much a foot for pipe (maybe 5 buck/foot) when i made my own pipe from manifolds to muffler. Its spendy but doing all them bends and welding and what not can be a chore. I got a full day in tinkering on this. But they would have charged me well over 300 im sure and it wouldnt be as good as i want it!

If he is a good kid and does good work tell him he charges too much...but still pay him what he wants.

Pretty sure I paid that much for my tail pipe, 2.5" from the muffler back, over the axle, out the passenger side.

When you look at how much muffler shops charge for exhaust, it makes Chuck's 2:1 exhaust kit look like a steal! That's why I bought it (and I wanted his headers)

Back in 2006, I paid $250 for dual pipes from headers to out behind the rear tires, using the flowmasters I brought him. Not sure what it would cost today.

I've got a good muffler shop that charges 285.00 for custom dual exhaust. But you have to buy the mufflers. 2.5" aluminized pipes

All these dollar signs make cherry bombs and turndowns look pretty appealing.

It's a mildly built up 302, quite a bit of head work, RV type cam, 9.5:1 compression, 280-300hp range. It had more power up high when it was just a couple of feet of 2.25 to the flowmasters and nothing after it. It's amazing how much that extra pipe and bends going around the rear end steel from you. 2.25 with the flowmasters and before that glasspacks is all I've ever had on it so I really know no different. It was what the guy that built the motor recommended so thats what I went with.
