Ok so today I made the decision not to spend the big bucks for Superior Axles and just cut my F150 axles down, the housing already has been narrowed to fit the EB By PIG pin, I just can 't get a hold of him tonight to ask what the length after cutting should be, Is it 27 and 15/16 ? any body know? I need to call 'cause the passenger side is already at the machine shop and the dude is waiting for my word and the length. If I call with the length tomorrow , I can get it back before XMAS, (More Presants , Yay!)

I would think it should be simple. However much material you remove from the passenger side axle tube, remove that exact amount from the axle shaft.

Make reference marks on the tube that won's disappear when the tube is shortened, measure, record that number. Shorten housing, remeasure, subtract the original, have the axle shortened the exact same amount.

Anything else and you will be relying on whoever shortens the housing to get the distance exactly right for the axle to fit.
